Episode three of our third season, "Risk-Takers and Game-Changers," welcomes Steven Schiff, a pediatric neurosurgeon and Brush Chair Professor of Engineering at Penn State.
Dr. Schiff has spent much of his career fighting the scourge of infant infection, especially in low and middle-income countries with minimal healthcare infrastructure. We're talking to him about the difficulties of working in places like Mbale, Uganda and Hanoi, Vietnam; his team's hard-won victories in treatment and prevention; and the future of healthcare innovation in places with limited resources.
